I have always been interested in the ways our experiences, thoughts, and emotions impact us all in different ways, and I became a counselor to assist people in cultivating self-awareness and self-compassion. Through these two skills, we can learn to accept things as they are while embracing change, adaptation, and growth. I believe we are all deserving and capable of love, but throughout our lives people or experiences have led us to think that we are unworthy or unlovable. These core beliefs, whether we are conscious of them or not, impact many facets of our lives. By creating a safe and unconditionally accepting space, I help my clients develop a deeper understanding of their inner landscape, work through past traumas and change negative core beliefs, and increase their self-awareness and love for themselves and others. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, and disordered eating. Additionally, I identify as a member of and am passionate about working with the queer community and individuals in nontraditional relationships.
